Junior Sales Representative

Location:

Salary:
$50,000 - $60,000 OTE package

Digistor is a leading provider of Digital Storage Solutions and High-End Desktop Editing Systems to the Video Post Production and Broadcast markets. Due to company expansion and an ever increasing demand for our products and services, Digistor is looking for a highly motivated individual to join their sales team in Sydney.

Ideally, candidates will have some sales experience preferably gained in video and/or IT with some working knowledge of digital storage solutions. Individuals with a keen interest or experience in video and post production are also welcome to apply.

The role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Acquire highly detailed working knowledge of Digistor’s core market and products
  • Provide product recommendations and technical advice to customers
  • Manage and expand the current sales through the Digistor website
  • Promptly resolve product issues by liaising with applicable vendors
  • Assist with the growth of Digistor’s current sales performance with allocated accounts and assist senior sales with internal sales activity as required
  • Participate and assist as required at events and trade shows including the preparation and staging of events as required

Training Services Business Development

Training at DigistorLocation:

Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Digistor’s Training Services is primarily responsible for managing the training facility and developing this facility as a profit centre which contributes a positive financial return to the company together with additional non-financial benefits. The BDM will aim to maximise the utilisation and potential for the Digistor's high quality Training Facility in the Digistor Customer Centre in Artarmon. It is proposed the BDM works three days per week with an initial contract of six months.

Training Business Objectives

It is envisaged that successfully undertaking and managing these activities would deliver the following benefits to Digistor

  • generate income through training courses
  • utilise existing customer database for additional revenue stream
  • generate income through sales of additional products, books, and services to course participants
  • bring new customers to Digistor for existing products and services
  • increase subscription to Digistor database
  • increase Digistor profile in industry
  • provide additional services that salespeople can utilise to assist in closing sales and increasing revenue per sale
  • improve Digistor’s reputation and profile with its suppliers
  • provide in house training alternative to customers, thereby reducing support requirements

Position Description

The BDM would be responsible for all aspects of the Digistor Training Services (DTS) business unit and would organise and coordinate activities including

  • in-house classroom training
  • in-house training provided by suppliers/associates
  • customer on-site application training using DTS trainers
  • seminars, product launches, events
  • user group meetings
  • streamed on-line events

Responsibilities

The BDM responsibilities would include

  • gain and maintain accreditation for Digistor from suppliers
  • develop policies for cancellation, payment, credit cards, late arrivals, etc.
  • develop and maintain training programme/timetable
  • develop promotional materials (web, brochures, press kits, etc.)
  • co-ordinate marketing and promotion
  • find and engage trainers
  • manage facilities (computers, software, projectors, furniture, etc.)
  • source and manage catering services
  • negotiate remuneration and terms with trainers
  • listing with web sites, reference directories, associations, suppliers, user groups
  • incentives, giveaways
  • investigate and propose new training models
  • registrant reminders (email/SMS)
  • training review forms, analysis, improvement implementation
  • develop and communicate associated product sales offers
  • communicate developed sales leads to Sales
  • provide incentives to trainer to sell associated products
  • newsletter content development

Sales - Film & Video Post Production - Systems Integration

Due to company expansion and an ever increasing demand for our products and services, Digistor is looking for a highly motivated individual to join their sales team in Sydney.

Ideally, candidates will have strong IT sales experience, preferably within the video editing and post-production industries with a good working knowledge of digital storage solutions. Whilst experience designing and selling video editing, post-production and storage solutions is an advantage, excellent sales applicants desiring a career in this market will be considered.

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will be to pro-actively manage existing customers, source new business and establish/maintain ongoing relationships with clients.

The role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Exceeding sales and revenue targets
  • Establishing and nurturing solid commercial relationships with a broad range of customers
  • Achieving sales growth by securing a greater share of existing customers' business and by securing additional revenue from new customers
  • Ensuring robust and enduring sales success by fully utilising the company’s CRM system and conducting business in a manner consistent with the organisation's values

DI & Broadcast Systems Pre-Sales Engineer

Location: Artarmon, Sydney, NSW

Work Type: Full Time

Digistor is Australia's leading supplier of professionally supported solutions for the creation, management, storage and delivery of digital media.

Servicing the film, video post production and broadcast markets, Digistor provides specialised services including installation and support of non-linear edit suites and finishing tools including Adobe, Apple, Autodesk and Avid.

A vacancy currently exists for a DI & Broadcast Systems Pre-Sales Engineer located at Digistor’s Artarmon head office, reporting to the Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Digistor in-house product specialist for DI Solutions and Broadcast Systems including but not limited to the following products and technologies:

  • Autodesk (workflow and finishing, 3D)
  • Storage Systems and SAN software
  • Encoding and transcoding workflows
  • Solutions design and implementation

Status Reporting

Contact and project reporting required. Reporting will be monitored on a research, project scoping and demonstration time-split as the duties listing below allows.

Duties

Training

  • Digistor’s DI & Broadcast Systems’ products and software
  • Internal training raising skill sets and relevant product knowledge of both Digistor sales and technical resources
  • One-to-one external instruction supporting and instructing on new installations, workflows

Pre Sales

  • Workflow consultancy; storage and archive
  • Customer demonstrations in house and onsite
  • Presentation delivery with sales team and customer events
  • Product positioning
      - Solution design
      - Workflow analysis
      - Storage
      - Networking
      - Software

Sales

Working directly, or with an assigned Account Manager, prospecting applicable accounts and presenting Digistor’s product offerings including Autodesk, storage and solutions design and implementation.

Post Sales

  • System troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Escalation of issues to respective vendors as required
  • Specific post-sales support to DI, film, broadcast and post clients alike
  • Some first line support of customer installations
