Dejero Aussie Tour

Posted by: Johann on 2/02/2012

Dejero lets you transmit broadcast-quality live video over cellular networks, eliminating the complexity, limitations and significant expense of satellite or microwave trucks. If you have cellular coverage, you can broadcast live video - instantly!

Last week we had Ken Le, Vice President of Business Development at Dejero labs, in Australia for end-user training, Digistor Engineer training, customer visits and a bit of Aussie indoctrination.

The visit coincided with the release of the newer smaller form factor Portable Transmitter units. They are about half the size, half the weight and now have double the battery life. You simply plug your broadcast camera into the Transmitter to encode and transmit the video and audio.

The Old Versus the New.

Some awesome new features have been added such as IFB, 4G modems, Solid State system drives for faster boot up time and even lower latency. The Server has also come down in size from 3RU to 1RU.

Come NAB there will be some amazing announcements especially in the latency department as well as some incredible additions to the product line - so watch this space!

"There are now 20+ transmitters in use in the field in Australia since Digistor took over the product last year, so the Dejero/Digistor partnership is going gangbusters" - Ken Le
