When long-term client FremantleMedia, formally Crackerjack Productions, moved into newly renovated premises and needed to beef-up their in-house editing facilities, they called on Digistor to fit them out with a solid Avid back-end.

FremantleMedia is one of the largest international creators and producers of entertainment brands in the world, with leading prime time drama, entertainment and factual programming in over 40 territories.

Editing System to Depend On

Scott Rowan, Director of Post Production at FremantleMedia's production company in Australia, needed an editing solution they could depend on as the number of projects on his plate had soared.

"We wanted the flexibility to run Media Composer or Final Cut Pro and we needed the installation done by a company we could depend on," said Scott. "We choose the latest Intel MacPro's and Digistor to make it all work. The equipment was installed, and after overcoming a few initial software bugs, it was put to work immediately."

The configuration included 6 Media Composers on the Mac and a 24TB Avid MediaNet Unity System.
