Design and Animation for Games, Advertising and Film
RedCartel started in early 2008 as a collaboration concept between two of Sydney's longest established 3d animation houses, ProMotion Studios and Twitch Studios each who had been producing 3d since 1999.
In late 2008 the two companies merged entirely in order to capitalise on the combined skills, resources and staff to best provide 3d animated and illustrated content to the advertising, gaming and film markets. Soon after they opened a studio in Balmain East on the water.
The main tools used by the team at Red Cartel are 3ds Max, Vray, Blender and the Adobe Suite of tools. Their workstations are mostly WinXP 64 with Linux based servers for backend file and backup.
Red Cartel recently completed a series of sequences and game assets for Aristocrat's latest game, Stuntman Sam. (pictured left) 3ds Max was used primarily to model and animate Sam with the final scenes rendered in Vray.
In early 2009 RedCartel launched the visualisation division of the company called Envisage Studios. The intention of Envisage Studios is to provide a one stop service for companies seeking to produce educational or informative imagery to assist delivery of their business messages.
Envisage has since produced and delivered many visualisation works, including recently winning an Australian Video Producers Association award for best training video for Subaru.
Envisage's work includes events, product, process, medical and architectural renderings that provide their clients with large array of visualisation assets for demostrating their products and services.
