For machine room environments where AES signals such as those from DAT or DA88, CD, or Pro Tools etc. must be embedded into a video stream for routing and digitizing convenience. Allows for a single video cable to carry all the audio that normally would require multiple wires and connections. Will convert 44.1 sampled audio such as that from CD to 48k depending on the video standard. In other words, it will act as a sample rate converter. Most pro machines such as DigiBeta, only accept 48k audio.

Capabilities: The HD10AM is a dual rate 8 channel AES audio Embedder/Disembedder. The Disembedder is always functional providing 4 AES outputs. The Embedder is user selectable, on a channel pair basis, to either "pass" SDI input audio or embed input AES audio from the breakout cable supplied with the unit. AES inputs are sample rate converted to a 48KHz rate synchronous to the video input. The HD10AM automatically detects and configures to the input video standard. Requires DWP or DWP-U power supply, ordered separately.
