Tuesday 17th July. 2pm to 3pm. Presenter: Paul Hayes, Managing Director, EditShare Asia Pacific With the proliferation of affordable editing and compositing systems that offer powerful content creation capabilities, an increasing number of TV stations and post houses are building diverse, cross platform environments for their news production and creative services operations. The various tools they are employing provide tremendous flexibilities to deliver stunning graphics and packages, but pose a significant challenge for media sharing and efficient downstream workflows. These supercharged content creation systems have typically been islands of proprietary technology that offered only limited project sharing and that required expensive Fibre network solutions to manage media assets. The challenge impacted workflows, resource roles and content quality. The recent introduction of new affordable shared storage technologies is making it much easier to seamlessly integrate the creative environments, paving the way for faster productions with maximum signal quality. These new solutions have many broadcasters trending away from expensive Fibre network technology to Gigabit Ethernet networks – simplifying media sharing and workflows and maximizing budget resources. This workshop also explores the case for using Ethernet networks and includes case studies of broadcasters and post-production facilities adopting these systems. Register by clicking here. |
