| Scalability
SANman RAIDs are available from small desktop units to tens of terrabyte in rackmount configurations. You can start with just a few drives in a RAID and add drives as needed. You could start with a single RAID directly connected to a computer and expand to a multi-seat, multi-RAID shared storage area network (SAN). SANman is ideally suited and operates effectively with a wide range of SAN software, switches and host bus adaptors, so you can choose the SAN configuration that suits you. |
| SANman Customer Comments
“SANman drives everywhere at Spinifex. Hanging off desktop machines, hanging off the server, shared in SANs. “The whole SANman story has worked very well for us. We just move ‘em in and plug ‘em in and just keep on going.” Hai Tran, Technical Director, Spinifex. |
All SANman RAIDs are built exclusively around Infortrend RAID subsystems. With extreme expertise in RAID technologies, Infortrend is the leading provider of RAID subsystems to support all storage interfaces including SCSI, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SATA and SAS. Infortrend subsystems are designed for enterprise level stability and performance and are ideal for high quality, high volume production environments. The extensive SANman range of very high-performance, low cost-per-GB RAIDs incorporate the latest technologies to deliver the ultimate storage solution for your needs. Whether your primary concerns are cost-capacity or security-performance, there is a SANman storage solution to suit. |
| Manageability
Comprehensive setup and management tools makes it easy to configure and maintain SANman RAIDs. Configuration is provided via an LCD keypad panel and all modules have LED indicators so that status can be determined in seconds. Configuration can also be undertaken through the RS232C terminal, telnet or remotely through the browser-based RAIDWatch Manager. Using RAIDWatch you can be constantly aware and automatically notified of array status via email, fax, LAN broadcast, SNMP traps, MSN Messenger, SMS messages and the RAIDWatch screen. |
| Compatibility
Need support for Linux, Mac, Unix or Windows platforms? No problem. Want to use the latest drive technologies and your choice of interface and software? You got it. With the ability to connect to Fibre Channel, SCSI, and iSCSI equipment and support for the latest Fibre Channel, SCSI, SATA and SAS drives you can take advantage of the latest equipment and drive developments. SANman is compatible with major brands of video editing, capture and playback cards, devices and software. |
All SANman RAIDs are built and configured locally and subjected to strict quality assurance testing before they are certified and made available. They work reliably from the moment of installation and are effectively supported by our local skilled storage engineers. Service Level Agreements are available to provide a flexible level of service and support for SANman installations. With support for multiple RAID levels, including 5 and 6, built into custom hardware you can be confident of uninterrupted operation even in the case of multiple drive failures. There are SANman options to include redundant drive mechanisms, power supplies, cooling subsystems and RAID controllers. SANman is suitable for the most mission-critical deployment. |
| Performance
Never be afraid of dropped frames again. SANman RAIDs have been rated with sustained read performance of over 600MB/s! Whether you need to play back multiple DV streams on a local editing system or 2K film footage in a shared storage area network, SANman can deliver the performance you need. |
