Visual Effects & Finishing Artist / Solutions Engineer
Autodesk Asia Pty Ltd.
David Wood has 25 years of experience as a visual effects and finishing artist, specialising in television commercials and broadcast design. In his current role, he demonstrates Autodesk’s Digital Entertainment Creation solutions throughout Asia Pacific. He also provides product training, along with creative and technical consultation for clients’ film, commercial and broadcast projects. David is a regular Autodesk spokesperson at industry tradeshows, including NAB in Las Vegas, IBC in Amsterdam, and BroadcastAsia in Singapore.
Prior to joining Autodesk, David worked for leading broadcasters and post-production houses in London, England and Sydney, Australia. His employers included British Sky Broadcasting, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Omnilab Media, Australia’s Channel 7 and Channel 9. His advertising clients have included Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather Group, DDB and Leo Burnett.
David’s work has been featured on cable networks worldwide, as well as on every terrestrial broadcast network In Australia. To compliment his VFX skills David has provided turnkey services for broadcast and commercials, from concept creation and storyboarding to directing and post-production. David began his career in London, directing, producing and post producing music videos.
